A year-long pleasure

The province of Forlì-Cesena offers many appointments dedicated to local products and good food.
The tasty Pagnotta pasquale (Easter loaf) is the protagonist of a famous festival held in Sarsina between March and April.
May is the month of the Sagra del pisello (pea festival) in Roncofreddo with typical local and seasonal products: peas, broad beans, artichokes, cherries, wines, oils, jams, honey and cheese.
In June the protagonist is the Festa Artusiana: the squares, streets and alleys of Forlimpopoli are transformed into food itineraries to celebrate Pellegrino Artusi.

August is dedicated to the Sagra del cinghiale (wild boar festival) and the Sagra della Fiorentina (T-bone steak festival) in Premilcuore, which every year attract a growing number of food lovers.  Verghereto offers the Sagra della Pera cocomerina ("cocomerina" pear festival) in Ville di Montecoronaro, to celebrate this ancient fruit variety now protected and promoted by the Slow Food label.
