Museo d'Arte della città (MAR)
Located near the former Monastery of Santa Maria in Porto, the Museum owns the architectural structure called "Loggetta Lombardesca" (Lombardesque Loggia) built between 1495 and 1525, and still keeps a splendid cloister dating back to the Renaissance period.
It welcomes numerous and important temporary art exhibitions and houses three permanent collections: Ancient collection with works dating back from the XIV to the XVIII century; Modern Collection with works dating back from the early XIX century to the mid-XX century; Collection of contemporary mosaics with works dating back from the mid-XX century to today.
It also guards the statue of Guidarello Guidarelli di Tullio Lombardi (1525): a splendid marble work rich in legend.
