The Party Pavilion

The pavilion, a refined example of modern architecture of the post-WWI Fascist period, is an authentic monument to Art Deco, enriched by the extraordinary decorative apparatus of Tito Chini, who knew how to modulate architecture, ceramics and decoration with spectacular originality and a magnificent aesthetic sense.
The characteristic façade is formed by a central semicircular body and two sidewalls covered with iridescent bricks, where small shiny metal bas-relief shapes stand out: cornucopias or horns of plenty, dolphins, and amphorae.

This elegant building's interior opens out to a picturesque atrium; the floors are made of marble with a splendid, circular mosaic in the centre depicting four majestic galleons in full sail. The beautiful skylight that soars above the atrium has three concentric strips decorated with symbols of the constellations, zodiac and stars.
The atrium leads to a grand salon of great scenic impact, thanks to the two mosaic of gold and green tiles and the floors that reproduce a multicoloured seabed populated by different types of fish, real or imaginary. There is a special atmosphere in the Game Room where the wooden panelled walls are entirely decorated with big tarot cards against a black background.
